Provide basic medical and nursing care while assisting providers with clinic procedures and patient examinations. Manage telephone triage, document patient information, and ensure the comfort and safety of patients in an OB/GYN setting.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program with a Florida license or have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program. One year of prior OB/GYN experience is required, along with current CPR or BLS certification.
Description THE IDEAL CANDIDATE NEED TO BE AN LPN OR A MEDICAL ASSISTANT Summary/Objective: Provide basic medical and nursing care. Ensure the comfort of patients, discuss health care with patients, and report status of patients to registered nurses and providers.
Essential Functions · Summons and prepares patient for office visit. · Applies principles of fetal growth and development in his/her daily practice · Set up rooms and trays for scheduled procedures. · Assist provider with clinic procedures. · Administer medications and/or vaccines as needed. · Identifies and evaluates the patient needs by way of telephone triage. · Recognizes and responds appropriately to OB/GYN emergencies. · Adheres to Nursing policy and procedures when documenting information in the patient’s medical record · Is an active member of the care team and may include additional duties related to care coordination.
LPN Specialist requirements are: Required Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing and hold an active Florida state license. One (1) year prior experience in OB/GYN required, two (2) years experience preferred. Additional Eligibility Qualifications: CPR certification.
