Adhere to chemical hygiene plan Attend and participate in in-service education programs, on-the-job training, workshops, etc Prepare samples for reference laboratory Receive specimens Instruct nursing personnel in patient preparation and specimen collection Demonstrate understanding of facility, Mission Vision, and key values as measured by performance and loyalty to the same Monitor supply inventory The facility provides and employee participates in education and training to improve their knowledge and skills related to the patient population served and the type and nature of care provided by their respective department Employee demonstrates knowledge and responsibility for the effective and safe use of all equipment in his/her activities Supervision of Medical Laboratory Technologist and use of independent judgement Take orders from physician
Current MLT license Successful completion of examination as accepted by the Georgia Department of Human Resources, or on the job training with a grandfather approval.
Bachelor’s Degree in Biological, Chemical or Physical Science or Medical Technology with Clinical Laboratory Training.
Prior experience working in Microbiology is preferred.
