The physician will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide patient care for various gastrointestinal disorders. Specific duties include performing non-invasive procedures, conducting evaluations, and formulating treatment plans.
Candidates must possess a New York medical license, DEA, and board certification or eligibility in gastroenterology. These qualifications ensure the physician is adequately prepared for the responsibilities of the role.
Physician - Gastroenterologist
Location: Flushing, Queens, New York
This organization is the largest physician-led outpatient medical practice in the greater New York City metro area with more than 35 offices serving 500,000 patients per year. In addition to robust primary care offerings, they also operate specialty service lines in gastroenterology, pediatrics, cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, podiatry, behavioral health, and more. Their staff of more than 400 physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants are supported by dedicated team members, with resources such as on-site laboratory and radiology services.
A variable number of patients per day are seen, based upon provider preference and types of appointments scheduled.
All visits are prepped and supported by dedicated clinical assistants.
The office uses the Epic EHR.
This position has no weekends or evenings. The new physician will share on-call phone answering responsibilities with other gastroenterologists, which is typically low volume.
