Key Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and collect blood/body fluid specimens Properly label, process, and transport specimens Accurately identify patients using established protocols Document procedures in VA electronic systems (CPRS/VistA) Monitor patients for adverse reactions during collection Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas Follow infection control, HIPAA, and VA policies Assist with specimen processing and lab support tasks
Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience Experience in a healthcare or clinical setting Ability to work with diverse patient populations (including elderly and complex cases) Bilingual: English and Spanish required Strong communication and patient care skills
