The cytotechnologist is responsible for preparing, staining, and microscopically examining specimens to identify pathological conditions. They also assist physicians with fine needle aspirations and maintain accurate patient test records.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in a science-related field and have completed a cytology program. At least one year of experience in cytotechnology, including both GYN and Non-GYN diagnostics, and CT (ASCP) certification are required.
