The counselor will provide trauma-informed individual and group counseling services to survivors of domestic violence. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and collaborating with external service providers to ensure holistic care.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field. Experience working with trauma survivors and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required, while professional licensure is preferred.
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Part-Time Counselor to provide trauma-informed counseling services to survivors of domestic violence. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting individuals on their path to healing through both individual and group counseling. This position is fully on-site at our Lansdale location and primarily requires evening and weekend availability. Key Responsibilities Provide individual counseling services to survivors of domestic violence, including community members and shelter residents Facilitate support groups in a safe, supportive, and empowering environment Schedule appointments and respond to participant communications in a timely manner Collaborate with external service providers (with proper consent) to support holistic care Participate in weekly supervision with the Director of Counseling Attend staff meetings and contribute to a collaborative team environment Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational and legal standards Complete continuing education and accrue clinical hours toward licensure (if applicable) Perform other duties as assigned
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field Licensure (LPC, LSW, LCSW, etc.) preferred, but not required Experience working with trauma survivors, preferably in domestic violence or crisis settings Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence (PCADV) training certification (or willingness to complete during onboarding)
