About the Role

• The Vascular Technologist (VASCULAR TECH-REG) plays a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with vascular conditions by performing specialized diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
• This position involves utilizing advanced imaging techniques to assess blood flow and detect abnormalities in arteries and veins throughout the body.
• The technologist collaborates closely with physicians and healthcare teams to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information that directly influences patient care decisions.
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to ensure high-quality imaging and patient comfort.
• Ultimately, the role contributes significantly to improving patient outcomes through precise vascular assessment and support of therapeutic interventions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Vascular Technology program.
• Current certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or equivalent credential.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated proficiency in performing vascular ultrasound examinations.
• Strong understanding of vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and digital imaging software.
• Prior experience working in a hospital or outpatient vascular lab setting.
• Strong communication skills for effective patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive vascular ultrasound examinations including arterial and venous studies of the extremities, carotid duplex, abdominal aorta, and other vascular territories as ordered by physicians.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, positioning them appropriately, and ensuring their comfort throughout the examination.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
