Monday-Friday 6:00am-10:00pm rotating weekends. You will work at UW Health Swedish American Hospital 1401 E State St.
We are looking for a
Pharmacy
Technician (Level
III) to: Advance Compounding Expertise — Perform sterile and hazardous medication preparation in alignment with USP <797> and <800> standards. Ensure Quality and Regulatory Compliance — Maintain precise documentation, support environmental monitoring, and uphold all departmental and regulatory requirements. Support Training and Professional Development — Contribute to onboarding, participate in ongoing competency assessments, and engage in continuous skill advancement. Collaborate Across Clinical Teams — Work effectively with pharmacists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary partners to promote safe and efficient patient care.

Commitment to employee voice Work Experience Hospital experience in unit dose distribution, compounding non-sterile medications including USP<795>, IV admixture including USP<797> and <800>, and automated dispensing machine technology. Required Licenses & Certifications Current licensure from the State of Illinois. Candidates without a license may work in this role for 60 days from date of license application through Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation. Those enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy are exempt from certification requirements, but will need to obtain a “Pharmacy Technician- Student Designation” license from IDFPR. Required Completion of Pharmacy Technician Certification within two (2) years of date license was first issued.
