Requirements summary
Requires a Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a valid Ohio RN license (or ability to obtain one). BLS Provider Certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory during orientation.
Tower 8 is a 30 bed Trauma Unit in the Level 1 Trauma Center on Cleveland’s Eastside.
Our patients include Trauma Activations – from the ED, PACU after surgery, the TSICU, and also transfers from other hospitals.
Trauma impacts any age or body system.
This allows for exposure to multiple specialties besides trauma including ortho, neuro, geriatric, and thoracic for example.
Common Diagnoses Include Gunshot wounds, Motor Vehicle Collisions, Assaults, Falls, Traumatic Brain Injuries and Bone Fractures.

Education Requirements Diploma RN, Associate or Bachelor's Degree of Nursing from an accredited program License & Certification Requirements An Ohio RN license is not required to be considered for this position. If selected to move forward, employment offers may be made contingent on candidate successfully obtaining RN license within time frame discussed at the time of offer acceptance. Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
