The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for preparing and dispensing medications, including mixing IV additive solutions using aseptic techniques. They also manage inventory, process medication records, and deliver supplies to nursing floors.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and state certification/licensure if required by the state. A minimum of one year of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
Education High School diploma or equivalent. Licenses/Certification State Certification/Licensure if required by state. Experience Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred. Basic understanding of the role of and use of a computer in the processing of prescription orders with minimum word processing skills.
