The Medical Assistant supports patient care delivery by performing routine clinical tasks such as assisting with assessments, treatments, diagnostic procedures, and specimen collection under physician or nurse supervision. This role also maintains efficient clinic operations through administrative duties like documentation, equipment stocking, and patient registration.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be a graduate of an accredited medical assisting program. Required certifications include active CCMA, CMA, or RMA, and Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
