The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for receiving, processing, and transporting specimens while registering patients and entering orders into the computer system. They also maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and two years of laboratory or patient care experience, though current science students may substitute for experience. Phlebotomy certification and experience are highly desired.
This is a clinical patient-facing role involving patient support, registration, and specimen collection and processing.

Qualifications: Education/Training High School Diploma or GED equivalency
Licensure/Certification Phlebotomy certification a plus
Experience Two (2) years of laboratory experience or patient care experience in a patient-facing healthcare environment required. Current student seeking higher educational degree or certification in a science field, such as nursing, medical technology, pre-med, or related clinical field may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience. Phlebotomy experience highly desired.
