The RN Circulator manages overall nursing care for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures in an ambulatory setting. They act as an intermediary between the operating room staff and the rest of the surgical center while assisting physicians with surgical tasks.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current state RN license and CPR/ACLS certifications. A minimum of one year of OR experience with the ability to scrub and circulate is preferred.
The Nurse Circulator assists in provision of nursing care to patients in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting. Assumes total responsibility for patient care in accordance with physician's orders and centers policies. During operations and other surgical procedures, the circulator assists by acting as an intermediary between the operating room staff and the rest of the surgical center.
