The Registered Nurse provides direct care in the outpatient wound care clinic and evaluates inpatient wounds. They are responsible for communicating patient condition changes and diagnostic results to physicians and the care team.
Candidates must hold a valid Registered Nurse license and BCLS certification. Previous acute care and wound care experience are preferred, with a requirement to obtain Wound Care Certification within the first year.
The Registered Nurse provides direct care in the outpatient wound care clinic as well as evaluating inpatient wounds. Communicate with physicians / charge nurse / co – workers, as appropriate regarding changes in the patient’s treatment, clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies. Has the ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the state. 2. BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current. 3. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred. 4. Previous Wound care knowledge and or experience preferred (1 Year). 5. Wound Care Certification within first year of hire 6. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
