The role involves setting up clinics, transporting patients, and assisting doctors with vision pretesting and scribing. The technician is responsible for managing patient flow and documenting medical notes in the EMR system.
Candidates must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to drive within a 3-hour radius. Experience with EMR documentation and optometry technician skills are strongly preferred.
This is a full-time benefit eligible role, working 5 days a week.
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record. Ability to drive to clinics that are typically within a 3-hour radius. Must have reliable transportation. Optometry/Ophthalmic technician experience preferred but not mandatory Prior EMR documentation experience strongly preferred 1+ years (medications, ICD-10, preliminary findings, etc.) Ability to transcribe basic medical notes into computer. Training on software provided. Ability to escort elderly walking clients or transport clients in wheelchairs, typically weighing up to 200 pounds.
