The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive peri-operative care, supervising a single operating room and ensuring a safe, sterile environment for surgical procedures. Responsibilities include preparing the OR, implementing care plans, and coordinating with the surgical and anesthesia teams.
Candidates must hold a current Illinois RN license, have at least two years of OR nursing experience, and possess BLS and ACLS certifications. A bachelor's degree and PALS certification are preferred.
Main function The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to patients in compliance with, but not limited to, recognized Standards of Practice and State Practice Act Standards, and organization protocols, policies, procedures, and guidelines. Supervises and directs patient care in a single operating room. Must have scrub experience.
Position Details: Full time position; 4 days per week & 10 hours per shift

Requirements: Education / Licensure / Certification
Required: Must possess a current Illinois license as a Registered Nurse. Minimum of two years OR nursing experience. BLS and ACLS certifications Preferred: PALS certification Bachelor’s degree ASC experience Specialty certification in related area Physical / Mental requirements Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, patients, physicians and the general public. Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Computer Skills: Job requires specialized computer skills. Must be adept at using MS word, communicate by e-mail and use scheduling software. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Special Requirements: Must be able to work variable hours and be flexible to meet the needs of the center’s daily surgery schedule. The employee is required to lift patients, assist a patient that is falling, and carry heavy medical equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee is frequently required to attend to patients and escort them to and from patient care areas, often being leaned on for support. Upper body strength, for lifting or helping patients out of bed and bath, is also a must.
