The Surgical Technologist is responsible for preparing surgical instruments and maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room. They assist surgeons by passing supplies and managing counts of sponges and needles during procedures.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and a current BLS certification. Graduation from an ORT program or at least 2 years of surgical setting experience is preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but are not limited to): Set up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures. Maintain a sterile environment and sterilize all instruments before surgery. Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon and assist with various tasks. Count and manage sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures. Help position and drape patients appropriately for surgery. Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations.

Current BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted) upon hire and maintained.
