Processes, cleans, and sterilizes routine and specialized medical and surgical supplies and instruments. Responsible for packaging instrument trays and distributing case carts for patient care.
Requires a high school diploma and either a Central Sterile/O.R. Technician certification or the ability to obtain one within a year. Nine months of relevant experience is required unless the candidate graduated from an accredited Central Sterile program.
Nine (9) months of experience relevant to the processing or inventorying of medical surgical supplies. If graduated from a Central Sterile program from an accredited school, no experience is required.
