Support daily clinic flow across multiple dermatology locations by rooming patients, documenting medical histories, and assisting providers with exams and procedures. Manage clinical tasks including specimen routing, EMR documentation, and the sterilization of medical instruments.
Requires a high school diploma and 1-2 years of recent Medical Assistant experience, specifically including hands-on dermatology experience. Candidates must have reliable transportation to float between various clinic locations in the North Atlanta area.
Core Responsibilities Support daily clinic flow across multiple dermatology locations Room patients, obtain vital signs, update medical histories, and document chief complaints Assist providers with general dermatology visits, skin exams, and follow-up appointments Prepare exam rooms, instruments, supplies, and procedure trays for clinic and procedural appointments Assist during biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, cyst removals, and other in-office dermatology procedures Draw up medications and assist with the administration of local anesthetics as directed by providers Prepare, label, and route pathology specimens according to protocol and insurance requirements Complete EMR documentation and scribe during patient visits using EMA EMR Manage patient callbacks, clinical messages, prior authorizations, and task lists as needed Clean, sterilize, and maintain medical instruments and exam rooms Monitor and restock clinical supplies while maintaining infection control standards Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and safety protocols at all times
What You’ll Need to Succeed Comfortable working as a float across multiple clinic locations (Duluth, Suwanee, Buford, Cumming & Marietta) Reliable transportation Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and workflows Strong time management and prioritization skills Comfort working with different providers and teams Solid understanding of patient care workflows in an outpatient setting Experience with EMR systems and clinical documentation Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between offices Licensure/Certifications/Education Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required Minimum of 1-2 years of recent Medical Assistant experience required Prior hands-on dermatology experience required Experience assisting with dermatology procedures preferred Phlebotomy experience Physical Requirements: Standing and walking for extended periods Frequent movement including bending, reaching, and lifting (up to 30 lbs) Use of fine motor skills for clinical procedures Exposure to clinical environments, including sharps and biohazards Benefits (30+ Hours per Week) Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance Short-term and long-term disability Company-paid Life and AD&D insurance Voluntary benefits options Paid time off and holidays Retirement savings plan Employee discounts on cosmetic services and products
