With New Jersey offices in Essex, Passaic, Union, Morris, Monmouth, and Mercer counties, the Group delivers care in both office-based and hospital settings. The Vein Institute provides comprehensive care to patients with venous disease.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Part‑Time Vascular Technologist to support our new Care Screen Program, which will provide preventive screenings including Carotid Artery Screening, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Screening, Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) Screening, and Blood Pressure Checks.

This role is essential to launching and sustaining the program across our practice. The position requires travel to multiple office locations and involves scanning patients for these screenings.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for non-invasive diagnostic vascular procedures.
  • Use ultrasound machines to record vascular information such as blood flow and pressure.
  • Perform Care Screen Program studies: carotid, AAA, PAD, and blood pressure checks.
  • Monitor patient vital signs during procedures.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure proper function.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure safe operation of equipment.
  • Handle protected health information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Program and initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; seek guidance and direction when needed.
  • Travel regularly to designated office locations as part of the Care Screen Program.

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Registered Vascular Technician
  • Strong patient/customer service orientation
  • Professional appearance; takes pride and ownership of work; works cooperatively in a team environment
  • Effective communicator
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage shifting priorities
  • Physical ability and perceptive acuity (visual, hearing) to perform all direct and indirect care functions

Education

  • Associate’s degree in diagnostic medical sonography from an accredited program (CAHEP, ARDMS, or CCI); BA degree a plus
  • Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) or RVS required

Requirements

Requires a minimum of 4 years of experience as a Registered Vascular Technician and an Associate's degree in diagnostic medical sonography. Must hold RVT or RVS certification.
