Job summary

Nurse practitioner – pediatrics provides comprehensive primary and preventive healthcare services to pediatric patients under indirect supervision and in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams. This role delivers patient‑centered, evidence‑based care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and education, while supporting efficient clinic operations and a positive patient and family experience.

The nurse practitioner practices within established clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and scope of practice, contributing to high‑quality outcomes in a fast‑paced pediatric practice environment.

• Job responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients, including health assessments, medical histories, physical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
• Manage routine, minor, and acute pediatric illnesses and conditions, utilizing a systematic and evidence‑based approach to assessment and care planning.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care, ensuring appropriate follow‑up and continuity of care in accordance with pediatric practice protocols.
• Provide patient and family education, counseling, and anticipatory guidance to support health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment adherence.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, and screenings within scope of practice.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to coordinate care, escalate concerns appropriately, and support efficient patient flow.
• Triage and refer patients for specialty care or higher levels of care based on clinical presentation and severity.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation of all patient encounters in the electronic medical record, in compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to patient and family needs, rights, and cultural considerations, always maintaining professionalism and compassion.
