The Family Peer Recovery Coach engages family members and participants to foster willingness for services and provides education and resources to support recovery plans. They perform program intakes, facilitate groups, and serve as an advocate for participants within the clinical team.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree or 2 years of mental health experience, along with a Peer Certification and 5 years of experience as a primary caregiver for someone with behavioral health needs. A valid driver's license and personal vehicle insurance are also required.

The Family Peer Recovery Coach works to engage family members and the prospective participant with the goal of fostering a willingness to accept available services. The Family Coach provides information, education, and resources to family of participants to enable them to better support their loved one in their goals and/or recovery plan, whether it be while person is living independently or in the family home. The Family Peer Recovery Coach provides direct support and case management services to assigned family members and participants and works closely with participants and their families to ensure that their needs are expressed and that they have a “voice” in their recovery plan. In conjunction with the clinical team, the Family Peer Recovery Coach completes program intakes/assessments, facilitates groups, promotes engagement and provision of peer and family support services; and serves as an advocate for the participant and family for services as a point of interaction between participant’s family and the program.

Expected starting wage range is $21.00 - 23.50. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

Telecare In-Home Outreach Team (IHOT) is a centralized program with three mobile teams providing in-home outreach. IHOT serves to 240-300 adults per year with serious mental illness (SMI).
