Provide diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic information. Assist in the daily operations of the vascular laboratory and provide training to staff as needed.
Monday - Friday with call, 8a-5p, Fulltime
Registered Vascular Technologist provides diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures according to established policy and procedure.
Use independent judgment and systematic problem-solving methods to produce high quality diagnostic information and optimize patient care and other assigned duties as assigned by the Lead Technologist or Practice manager.
Performs all required ultrasound and clinical evaluations at a technical level not requiring direct supervision.
Assists the Lead Technologist and Practice Manager with the daily operations of the vascular laboratory and training staff as needed.
Maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase level of competence under the supervision of the Lead Technologist and Practice Manager.
Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify and record appropriate anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic images.
Coordinates work schedule with manager to assure workload coverage.
Consults with Ordering physician, patient chart, and/or lead technologist regarding patients’ history to determine appropriate lab procedure when necessary.
Must be a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) capable of performing technical evaluations without direct supervision. Requires proficiency in using ultrasound imaging machines, plethysmography, and Doppler equipment.
