Coordinate the evaluation, treatment, and care of hospitalized patients in the Clinical Decision Unit. Responsibilities include performing H&Ps, ordering diagnostics, and managing patient admissions and discharges during the night shift.
Requires a Master's degree with acute care clinical experience and current licensure as an NP or PA in Louisiana. Candidates must be eligible for limited prescriptive authority and capable of meeting physical demands including lifting 50 pounds.
(Nurse Practitioner) Minimum Masters Prepared: Curriculum must include didactic in clinical experience in Acute Care Current Louisiana Registered Nurse License (RN) Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Licensure in Louisiana (APRN) Eligible for limited prescriptive authority in Louisiana as approved by St. Tammany Health System. (Physician Assistant) Minimum Masters Prepared: Curriculum must include didactic in clinical experience in Acute Care Current Physician Assistant Licensure in Louisiana (PA) Eligible for limited prescriptive authority in Louisiana as approved by St. Tammany Health System. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
