The Float Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for preparing instruments and equipment for patient care, maintaining exam rooms, and assisting providers during exams and procedures. This role also involves obtaining patient data, processing prescriptions, and communicating with patients regarding their care.
Candidates must have completed a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institute and hold a certification such as CMA, RMA, or CCMA. Additional requirements include knowledge of medical terminology, the ability to lift 15 pounds, and reliable transportation.
