Provide safe, therapeutic care for patients in the Birth Center using the nursing process for assessment and evaluation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage complex patient needs and assist in the coordination of nursing care.
Requires a California RN license and active CPR, ACLS, and NRP certifications. Candidates must have two years of recent full-time clinical experience in labor and delivery, including high-risk antepartum and postpartum care.
Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.
