The role involves managing patient admissions, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans within a hospitalist setting. Responsibilities include performing daily rounds, interpreting test results, and coordinating care with attending physicians and nursing staff.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in a Nurse Practitioner program with National Board Certification and current New York State licensure as both an NP and RN. Current BLS certification and a collaborative practice agreement or attestation are also required.
Performs a variety of functions and technical procedures necessary for patient admission, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and outcome evaluation. Participates in performance improvement, research, and educational activities.
