Assist optometrists by performing preliminary eye tests and preparing necessary instruments for examinations. Handle patient triage, medical history recording, and provide education on eye health and post-operative care.
Previous experience as an ophthalmic technician is preferred. Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
Assist doctors during examinations and procedures by preparing the necessary instruments and equipment. Perform preliminary tests, including measuring visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and pupil reactions. Includes visual fields, OCT, IOM, biometry, pachymetry, refraction, and more. Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately. Educate patients on eye health, treatment options, and post-operative care. Handle phone calls, patient triage, and administrative tasks to assist the provider. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Collaborate with team members to enhance patient experience and streamline clinic operations.
