About the role

The Echo Tech performs various echocardiograms, including Dobutamine and treadmill stress testing. They also provide assistance with transesophageal echos to ensure exceptional patient care.

Performs echocardiograms, Dobutamine stress echos, treadmill stress testing, and assists with transesophageal echos.

Responsibilities

Performs Echocardiograms using a departmental protocol for obtaining images. Assists with TEE’s and stress testing, providing images that support the physician’s ability to diagnose patients appropriately and identifies problems & implements appropriate interventions, including reporting critical values. Sets priorities for completion of studies based on acuity, patient preference and/or the coordination of care with nursing and other ancillary services. Obtains EKGs that reflect appropriate lead placement, minimal artifact, and correct patient information. Sets up and scans Holter Monitors, providing tracings that support the physician’s ability to diagnose patients appropriately. Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications

Required: Education: Associate degree or professional training preferred. Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: ARDMS/RCDS or CCI/RCS Certification within 1 year of employment American Heart Association BLS CPR required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.

Experience: 2 to 5 years of job-related experience is preferred.

Requirements

An associate degree or professional training is preferred, along with 2 to 5 years of related experience. Required certifications include BLS CPR and ARDMS/RCDS or CCI/RCS within one year of hire.
