Provide inpatient rehabilitation services to oncology patients with neurogenic, orthopedic, or brain-related disorders. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess patients, establish plans of care, and facilitate continuing care planning.
Must hold a master's degree in speech pathology and be licensed or certified in the profession. One to two years of medical setting experience is preferred, though new graduates with relevant clinical work are considered.
Speech Language Pathologist rehabilitation team members must be licensed or certified with the respective profession (speech pathology), and meet the educational and/or certification requirements established by their professions (speech pathologists must hold master's degrees) All academic degrees must have been granted from an accredited institution. Speech pathologists who hold a conditional license granted by the State of Ohio, and who are completing the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) may also be considered. Typically, one-two years experience working in a medical setting is preferred for all professionals hired. New graduates will be considered if they have completed a majority of their clinical work in this setting.
