About the role

Provide comprehensive primary dental care to the community within an outpatient setting. Collaborate with a professional team to deliver dental services in a public health organization.

Neighborhood Health Centers of the Lehigh Valley is looking to add an experienced, full or part-time Dentist to our growing Dental Department. If you love working with a great team of professionals and serving the community, this could be a great opportunity for you!

Qualifications

Education and Training: Graduation from an accredited dental school Completion of an accredited general practice residency program is preferred Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred Ability to be clinically fluent in Spanish preferred Knowledge of public health principles and practices preferred Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills required Ability to maintain appropriate clinical privileges required, hospital privileges preferred FTCA coverage or private professional malpractice insurance obtainable Licensure and Credentials: Unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Pennsylvania (Not applicable to commissioned NHSC/PHS officers) Current CPR (BLS) certifications. ACLS preferred PA DPS and DEA registrations Medicare and PA Medicaid provider numbers Skills and Abilities: Requires a comprehensive knowledge of primary dental care in outpatient settings. Knowledge of the principles and practice of modern dentistry as related to public health organizations and community health programs as well as current social and economic problems pertaining to public health and their impact on primary health care. Bi-Lingual in Spanish is preferred. Credentialing, Employment clearances and vaccinations are required for this role.

Requirements

Requires a degree from an accredited dental school and an unrestricted Pennsylvania dentistry license. Preferred qualifications include a general practice residency, one year of clinical experience, and Spanish fluency.
