About the role

The Dental Assistant supports dentists by providing quality patient care and managing office and laboratory duties. They ensure efficient patient flow through professional preparation, sterilization, and accurate documentation.

Neighborhood Health Centers of the Lehigh Valley is looking for a full-time Dental Assistant. The Dental Assistant provides quality care and services to patients by assisting dentists and other staff in a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. The Dental Assistant affects the efficiency and productivity of patient flow through timely, accurate and professional preparation of patients and patient information, direct patient care, sterilization, accurate chart documentation, and taking digital x-rays. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of a dental assistant licensing program or 2+ years of dental assisting experience Bi-lingual in English/Spanish preferred. Successful completion of DANB exam- Radiation and Health Safety Examination for PA X-ray license (must complete within 6 month of hire) Certification in office practice or enrollment in such a program is desired. CPR certified Completion of 3 hours of training in child abuse recognition and reporting requirements as approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services If you have the experience listed above and are interested in working for a great agency while serving the community, NHCLV might be the right fit for you! Requirements
