Assist inpatient pharmacists in preparing medications and managing drug inventory to ensure safe medication management. Responsibilities include sterile and non-sterile compounding and managing Omnicell automated drug cabinets.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to obtain PTCB certification within one year. Preferred candidates have experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital inpatient setting.
FirstHealth’s inpatient pharmacy technicians perform a wide range of tasks that include, but are not limited to: sterile compounding non-sterile drug compounding pharmacy inventory duties (stocking, rotation of stock, outdate checking, etc.) medication distribution preparing patient-specific medications stocking and inventory management of Omnicell automated drug cabinets emergency drug kit preparation
high school diploma or GED eligibility to obtain PTCB technician certification within one year computer literacy great personality and ability to get along well with others desire to serve internal customers and patients hearing acuity visual acuity manual dexterity Qualifications (preferred): pharmacy technician experience hospital inpatient pharmacy technician experience strongly preferred
