Responsible for supporting individuals with community access, skill building, and ensuring person-centered goals are met according to their Support Plan. Duties include maintaining health and safety and adhering to State of Oregon Administrative Rules.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a background check. Candidates must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The Day Support Activities (DSA) Direct Support Professional (DSP) for day service is responsible for a variety of duties related to community access, effective communication, interacting with others, and health and safety of the individual you are supporting. This includes supports for skill building and ensuring person centered goals are being met in accordance with the individuals Support Plan (ISP). Direct Support Professionals are required to perform all duties in accordance with State of Oregon Administrative Rules, related to the specific program they are working with. A typical shift as a DSP for day services could include taking a group of individuals into the community for skill building or working on independence with one individual.
Status: Full Time 40 Hours Per Week Location: Salem Shift: Saturday- Wednesday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (weekend hours may vary based on activity) Starting wage: $20.14 an hour Wage Scale: $20.14 - $24.50
