Endoscopy Technician

The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for technical equipment used in the Endoscopy procedure to promote smooth operations. They provide assistance to the team of Endoscopy nurses and physicians while providing support to the patient as needed to promote efficient and safe procedures.

Recognize potential exposure to blood borne pathogens and/or hazardous materials, noxious/irritating fumes, long hours, and unforeseen conditions that might generate stress may be encountered.
Must be able to see with corrective eyewear and hear clearly with assistance.
Must be able to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist frequently.
Must be able to lift greater than fifty (50) pounds and push up to three hundred (300) pounds frequently.
Responsible for on-call duties as assigned by GI Lab Manager
Candidates must have a high school diploma and obtain BLS certification and GI Technical Specialist validation within a specified timeframe. Prior medical experience and knowledge of medical terminology are considered helpful.
