Job description

The Registered Nurse II is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides fiscally responsible care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members. \nIn addition to performing the essential functions listed below, the Registered Nurse II may also be assigned other duties as required. \nEducational Requirements. \nGraduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred or ADN with three years of specialty experience, required. \nWork Experience \nMinimum of one year acute hospital experience, required. \nOne year experience working in the Emergency Department, required. \nLicense and Certification Requirements \nCurrent California RN license, required. \nAHA BLS, required. \nACLS, required. \nPALS, required.\nCEN, preferred\nTNCC, required\nNIHSS, required\nSkills & Abilities \nAbility to work productively in a busy and complex environment. \nEffective written and oral communication skills (in English).
