About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in the Mental Health Unit at Wagoner Community Hospital, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and comprehensive care to patients experiencing mental health challenges.

Your primary responsibility will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans, ensuring that each patient's unique needs are met.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop therapeutic interventions and support systems that promote recovery and well-being.

Additionally, you will educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oklahoma.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or equivalent nursing degree.
  • Experience in mental health nursing or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Experience with evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health status and develop personalized care plans.
  • Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and therapeutic effectiveness.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in acute distress.
  • Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions and engage patients in therapeutic activities.

Requirements
