About the Role

• As a Registered Nurse in the Mental Health Unit at Wagoner Community Hospital, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and comprehensive care to patients experiencing mental health challenges.
• Your primary responsibility will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans, ensuring that each patient's unique needs are met.
• You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop therapeutic interventions and support systems that promote recovery and well-being.
• Additionally, you will educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oklahoma.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or equivalent nursing degree.
• Experience in mental health nursing or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• Experience with evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health status and develop personalized care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and therapeutic effectiveness.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in acute distress.
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and engage patients in therapeutic activities.
