The Direct Support Professional is responsible for providing personal care, guidance, and support to clients based on their specific needs. This role promotes client independence and ensures personal needs are met safely.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. They should also be able to pass a background check and have reliable transportation with a clear driving record.
Assist clients in behavioral and personal care services Assist clients with activities of daily living according to clients' unique care plans Accompany clients on recreation and leisure activities Implement clients' plans as written Increase clients' independence and involvement in their community Ability to understand and implement a variety of Behavior Support Plans and Individual Service Plans Ability to track and chart data on a daily basis in compliance with company expectations Ability to attend, assist, and engage in team meetings as needed Required Qualifications: At least 18 years of age High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent Ability to pass a background check with the MN Department of Human Services General computer skills and knowledge Reliable transportation insured in the state of Minnesota Proof of insurance and current driver's license Clear driving record (No DUI/DWI convictions in the past 5 years) Fluency in reading, speaking, and writing in the English language Dynamic communication skills Working cell phone with internet access
Experience working with individuals of varying needs and diagnoses CPR and First Aid certification Job Type: Part-time
