The therapist is responsible for providing daily individual and group counseling and developing comprehensive treatment plans. They also coordinate care conferences with families and providers and facilitate the complex discharge process for patients.
A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related human services field is required, along with the appropriate state licensure. Preference is given to candidates with at least 2 years of clinical experience in behavioral healthcare or acute psychiatric settings.
Accountable for overall treatment planning efforts, care conferences with families and providers, family and provider care updates, psychosocial needs and completion. Coordinate and facilitate the development of a discharge plan of care for the patient population which includes accountability for the complex discharge process. Ensure the experience of care for the patient and family is exceptional.
Education: Master's in Social Work (MSW), Counseling, Psychology, or related human services field is required Candidates with a Master’s Degree in Counseling: Associate license OR full counseling license required. Candidates with a Master’s Degree in Social Work: associate or temporary license in the state of employment required, full license preferred. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a behavioral healthcare or acute psychiatric setting preferred. Previous experience in an acute in-patient behavioral health hospital is a plus Experience developing and administering treatment plans Individual and group counseling techniques Exceptional communication skills
