The Physician Hospitalist provides and manages direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within their area of practice according to approved protocols. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, treating patients, providing health education to patients and families, and performing necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Candidates must be a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy, licensed to practice medicine in the service state, and be board certified or board eligible, possessing necessary DEA licenses. Essential requirements include adequate visual acuity and the ability to communicate effectively, hear, and understand speech.
