The role involves delivering direct patient care, including preparation, vital sign collection, administering treatments and immunizations under provider direction, and maintaining accurate documentation in the medical record. Responsibilities also include managing patient scheduling, coordinating outreach for overdue visits, and ensuring continuity of care through follow-ups.
Candidates must successfully complete an accredited Medical Assistant program and obtain one of several specified certifications (CMA, RMA, NCMA, etc.) within one year of hire, along with BLS and Mandatory Reporter training within three months. The position requires proficiency in basic computer skills and the ability to work collaboratively while demonstrating honesty, integrity, and caring.
