About the role

The counselor will develop person-centered treatment plans and lead individual and group counseling sessions for patients in recovery. They are also responsible for monitoring client progress and connecting patients with essential medical, mental health, and social support services.

McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is seeking Full-time Counselor's to join our Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Clinic at our headquarters location in Charlotte, NC.

How will you help us achieve our mission? You will

Be at the forefront of crafting person-centered treatment plans for patients in all stages of recovery.

Play a pivotal role in monitoring and evaluating client progress, adjusting treatments as necessary for optimal outcomes.

Lead individual and group counseling sessions to support both patients and their families.

Connect patients with vital support services, such as medical evaluation, mental health, and social support. Your impact will extend beyond our doors!

Participate in clinical supervision sessions to foster your professional growth and development.

What are the qualifications needed for this role?

We're looking for a minimum Master's degree-level fully licensed or associate licensed Family Counselor (LCAS, LMFT, LCSW, LCMHC). The ideal candidate will also have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with the adolescent population in a clinical setting, as well as at least 1 year of experience specifically working with individuals facing substance use challenges. Additionally, we're looking for a candidate with a strong interest in justice services, the ability to engage and support adolescents in overcoming substance use issues, and also a strong understanding of the intersection of substance use, mental health, and justice involvement.

Requirements
