Assists pharmacy staff in the preparation, compounding, and distribution of pharmaceutical products and IV solutions. Manages pharmacy inventory, processes patient charges, and transports medications to nursing homes or other locations.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT) registration. Must possess a valid driver's license and have up to one year of related experience.
Under the leadership of the Director, Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Technician – Certified is an active member of the department that assists the Pharmacy staff in the preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical products. The Pharmacy Technician – Certified helps with prescriptions, delivery of medications, answering the phone, stocking shelves. The Tech maintains inventory of pharmacy supplies and submits reorders as needed.
• Education:
Requires and maintains a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT) registration.
Requires and maintains a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Motor vehicle report required upon hire and reviewed annually.
