About the role

Manage a caseload of critically ill patients in an intensive care setting under physician supervision. Perform specialized procedures including intubations and central lines while documenting data in the EMR system.

Overview Advanced Practice Provider – Critical Care – PRN Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for a PRN Advanced Practice Provider to join the Critical Care team. In this position, your primary responsibility is managing a caseload of critically ill patients in an intensive care setting under the direct supervision of the ICU supervising physician.

Responsibilities

In this role you will: Utilize specialized skill and knowledge performing physical exams Collect and properly document data utilizing EMR system Conduct necessary procedures, including: central lines, arterial lines, vascaths, chest tubes, and intubations Order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations Prescribe appropriate interventions and medications Provide direct patient care services in a specific ICU or step-down unit

Qualifications

Graduate and licensure as a Physician's Assistant by the National Board of Medical Examiners or the American Academy of Physician's Assistants with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board --or— Graduate from a school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master’s degree in Nursing Business
