Operates EEG equipment to record brain activity and perform neurodiagnostic procedures to assist in diagnosing seizure disorders. Responsible for monitoring long-term studies, identifying critical findings, and providing first aid to patients during seizure events.
Requires a high school diploma and BLS certification, with a mandate to enroll in a neurodiagnostic program and become a Registered EEG Technician within five years. Preferred candidates have an associate or bachelor's degree and experience in pediatrics or neurodiagnostics.
Performs the above functions with limited to direct supervision, depending on their competency, comfort level, and skillset
Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
Enrollment in CAAHEP accredited or approved neurodiagnostic technician program within 1 year of hire, with completion of EEG training courses/curriculum within 3 years of hire.
Associate�s degree in healthcare-related program.
Required: At least one year experience in patient a care position or other related field in which they have had customer support, customer success, client relations or support services
Preferred: One year experience in field of Pediatrics or Neurodiagnostic
Preferred: Associate of Science Degree, Bachelor of Science Degree
