Lab Administrative Assistant

We are seeking to hire an outstanding professional Lab Administrative Assistant who is available Monday-Friday from 6:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. with weekend rotation availability as well.

Responsibilities

• Bring male patients to laboratory for semen testing appointments.
• Answer questions posed by patients relative to their specimen, testing or payment.
• Ensure correct labeling of containers & paperwork in lab.
• Assist patients checking in for surgical procedures and escort patients to waiting area.
• Manage outside laboratory scheduling and follow proper protocols for accepting outside orders.
• Answer telephones, screen calls, take messages.
• Provide coverage for other Administrative Assistants as needed.
• Schedule patient appointments appropriately.
• Provide support services to patients and medical staff.
• Collect payment as patients check out as needed/on weekends.
• Miscellaneous office responsibilities including supply inventory and ordering.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.

Education

• High School Diploma is required.
• 1 year of work experience in a Medical Administrative role is required.
