Our medical department provides a full array of medical care including, but not limited to women’s health exams, men’s health exams, diabetes care, high blood pressure, heart disease, asthma, chronic conditions, laboratory services, physical examinations, and referrals for specialty care.
ICCHC is currently seeking a full time Certified Medical Assistant for its New Iberia, LA location.
This position will handle critical administrative tasks, including prior authorizations, referrals, reviewing patient messages, prescription refills, and more. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
High School Graduate. Graduate of state approved Medical Assistant school. Current license as a Medical Assistant in the State of Louisiana.
Six months previous medical office experience required.
The CMA should possess basic knowledge of nursing processes and principles, biology and chemistry and basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology. The CMA should possess thorough knowledge of medical procedures and pharmacology drugs.
Candidates must be a high school graduate from a state-approved Medical Assistant school with a current Louisiana license. At least six months of previous medical office experience is required.
