The Registered Nurse provides continuity of care and acts as a patient advocate through systematic assessment and the implementation of goal-directed care plans. They are responsible for managing emergency situations and collaborating with the healthcare team to meet diverse patient needs.
Candidates must have a degree from an accredited nursing program, a Texas RN license, and at least three years of experience in an acute care hospital ED. Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required at the time of hire.
To act as patient advocate, providing continuity of care designed to meet individual patient needs through collaboration with other members of the healthcare team and supporting the philosophy, objectives and goals of the facility. The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing the needs of individual patients including but not limited to adult, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
Category I exposure to blood borne pathogens, frequent exposure to chemical hazards and may encounter radiation hazards.
