• About the
• Internship: Southeast Addiction Center is offering clinical internship opportunities for students and individuals pursuing careers in substance abuse counseling, mental health counseling, and therapy. Our internship program provides hands-on experience within a behavioral health and detox setting under the supervision of an experienced clinical professional with over 10 years of preceptor experience.
• We welcome: Master’s level counseling and therapy students CADC and LADC interns Counseling and social work students Individuals seeking supervised clinical experience This internship is designed to provide valuable real-world exposure to addiction treatment, group facilitation, clinical documentation, client engagement, and multidisciplinary teamwork.

• Responsibilities: Assist with psychosocial assessments and client intakes Observe and participate in individual and group counseling sessions Support clinical documentation and case notes Participate in treatment planning discussions Attend weekly supervision and clinical meetings Assist with administrative and program support tasks Gain exposure to detox and behavioral health operations

• Requirements: Currently enrolled in or pursuing a counseling, therapy, social work, CADC, or LADC-related program Ability to commit to approximately 24 hours per week One evening shift per week may be required Completion of required training within the first week of internship Strong professionalism, communication skills, and willingness to learn Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow
