With fewer C-sections and higher VBAC success rates, our research-backed approach is delivering better outcomes. Our team of trusted midwives, OBGYNs, and dedicated care navigators ensure our patients get the type of care they need in the moments that matter most.

We currently have 4 clinics in the tri-state area, with three new clinics opening in 2026! Come join our team of clinicians, innovators, operators, and technologists passionate about setting a new standard in maternity care.

About the Role

We are looking for a Licensed Midwife to join our growing maternity care practice. We’re searching for someone who is thoughtful and passionate about delivering patient-centric, judgment-free care, and is excited to join a dynamic and innovative team.

This is the perfect opportunity for a CNM/CM that is excited to expand their skill set and help define and build a new best-in-class maternity care experience. You will be responsible for delivering full-spectrum perinatal care, as well as helping to shape and refine Oula's clinical care model.

  • Full Time Expectations This is a full-time position with a flex schedule including rotating on-call shifts (with protected post-call day off), approximately two office days per week, plus designated administrative & didactic time.
  • This is a benefits-eligible position as part of a competitive compensation package that includes CME budget, malpractice coverage, and ancillary benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides full-scope midwifery care during pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum across a variety of settings, including in-person care at our New York area clinics and virtual care options.
  • Collaborates with other team members (e.g., obstetricians, nurses, MAs, doulas, coordinators, therapists, etc.) to provide whole-person care.
  • Communicates effectively with patients during and between appointments to ensure questions are answered and concerns are addressed by leveraging Oula’s technology. Able and excited to educate about and promote the midwifery model of care to current and prospective patients, with a focus on growing Oula's patient population.
  • Works collaboratively with Oula’s product & engineering team to give feedback on the patient portal to create a more personalized, inclusive, and consistent approach to care.

About You

Are enthusiastic about collaborative care models leveraging diverse teams with a wide variety of skill-sets.

Exude empathy and compassion for patients and team members alike and can rally your team to provide exceptional patient experience regardless of the situation.

Uphold the core principles of reproductive justice to support principles of body autonomy, self determination and cultural respect.

Are excited about realizing the Oula mission, and building the kind of collaborative practice that midwives and patients dream about.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience caring for diverse communities with a wide variety of needs.
  • Great professional reviews and reputation for providing exceptional patient care valued by your clients and colleagues.
  • Experience with telemedicine or elements of virtual care.
  • Any extra “bonus” skills or passions that will help us serve our patients (i.e. the ability to communicate with patients in their native language, passion for birth equity work, lactation certification, nutrition/diabetes training, etc.)

Oula offers a competitive total rewards package which includes base salary, and comprehensive benefits. Exact compensation inclusive of salary and any bonuses is determined based on a number of factors including experience and skill level, location, and qualifications which are assessed during the interview process.
